Lessons from the League that shall not be...
It’s 4:39 on a cloudy Wednesday in Toronto. I’ve just spent 25 minutes fighting with Air Canada about its wisdom of wanting to charge me $374 to change a flight that cost me only $148 in the first place, and that I could, as I was speaking, buy a ticket online, from its own website, on the very flight I wanted to change to for $225. Does anyone still wonder why that airline is teetering on the...

Can The Ti-Cats Finish "Not Last"?
In short, maybe. There’s a chance. For the last five years, the Ti-Cats have been locked down in the (unfinished) basement and has been wearing the pregnancy clothes and having tea parties with old Cabbage Patch dolls. Don’t worry though; they kept themselves entertained themselves by playing with the cool Tamogotchi they got back in 1999 when they got to hang out with the cool kids.
Here comes...

Writers Wanted
Hey there guys and gals, I’m looking to find some other writers for the site. If this interests you, realize that it is a fair bit of work to write quality stuff consistently. There would be pretty minimal (if any) censoring of your writing by myself, as long as things keep pretty much PG-13. I want to have writers start out before the regular season begins, as there are a few things...

Just A Little Movie Magic...
The Bombers are getting stranger and stranger looks from people around the league these days, and letting a former pro soccer player with apparently no football experience try out for a roster spot. I’d like to think the first day started like this, and ideally ended like this. If we’re going through old movie plots I’d like to see if we can get Kathy Ireland back out for a few...

– Argos defensive tackle Adriano Belli, who by the way has the best nickname in the CFL… “The Kissing Bandit”? Seriously!

Making The Grade : CFL Mascots
A good mascot can get people a little louder than they planned, and overall represent a fair part of their organization’s game-day experience. The good mascot design doesn’t feel like a guy paid by the team to jump around in an expensive suit, but a natural symbol for their fans to feel pride and inspire some noise. With that said, here’s a look at my opinion of the CFL’s...

Hamilton Tiger-Cats 38 - Buffalo Bills 21 →
If you wonder if there’s another reason why the Ti-Cats have no love for the Bills, maybe it’s the fact that they already destroyed them in the last game pitting NFL/AFL against CFL… Just in case you were needing some more Tabbies in America info, here you go. To kick off the 1958 CFL season, the Tabbies and Rough Riders played in Philadelphia (who’s fans have inspired such...

Let's Start It Up!
So I’m officially back home from school and now have the time to sit and browse google and learn more about the CFL to make my posts more entertaining (notice that I didn’t say more intelligent, just entertaining)… so this should be the beginning of some regular posting, and then ramping up the frequency once we get some CFL games under our belt and have a little bit more action...

fakepuntonfirst (Tony)
fakepuntonfirst is a student at UOIT taking nuclear engineering. He received a CFL football for his first birthday and immediately used the icing from his chocolate cake as eye black (okay, maybe it was smeared all over his face). He remembers cheering for the Argos as a kid because a) they were from Toronto, the home of his Maple Leafs, and b) unlike his Leafs, they won. Then came a series of...

CFL = Contagiously Frustrating Links?
THIS is just amazing… I mean, I was pleasantly suprised to find that Yahoo! Canada does in fact have a CFL site! I’m a big fan their coverage of hockey so I thought it was pretty neat to see them cover the CFL. Then I clicked the link and saw this:
Not only does the huge blank white space suggest a plethora of investigatory journalism, but the American map complete with football...
